TUITION POLICIES

Tuition payments are required for each full week of school regardless of absenteeism due to illness or vacation. As a reminder, tuition payments can be made either:

  • twice a month (half of the monthly amount due on the first of the month and the other half due on the fifteenth of the month) or
  • once a month (due on the first of the month).

If the tuition due date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, tuition is expected to be made on the Friday before. When figuring tuition with a part time student, you count the number of days your child has attended the school during the time frame of the first through the fifteenth – this is due on the first of the month – and then during the time frame of the sixteenth to the last day of the month – this is due on the fifteenth of the month. With a full time student, your tuition amount is always the same each month.

Tuition can be paid using check, debit, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa, and Discover are accepted).   If you choose to use a debit or credit card, a convenience fee of $3.00 will be added to your tuition total each time we process a debit or credit. Look for the debit/credit card processing form in this packet and fill it out, if you are interested in this option.

Your family will be charged a $5.00 per day late fee for any payment not made on time. This amount will AUTOMATICALLY be added to your next tuition payment. If, at any time, your account with The Prep School is past due by 15 days, your child will be unable to continue attending The Prep School.

Notice for Exiting The Prep School:

A two weeks’ “notice” is necessary for families that plan on exiting the school before the end of the school year. Tuition is expected to be paid through this two weeks’ notice.

Vacation Time (sick time, holiday time…)

Each FULL TIME family receives five (5) vacation days for the period of August 7,2019 through May 22, 2020 (last day of school year) in which your family does not have to pay tuition.

Each PART TIME family receives the same number of vacation days in which your child attends during a one week period in which your family does not have to pay tuition. For instance, if your child attends three days per week, your family would have 3 vacation days per the school year, August 7, 2019 through May 22, 2020.

In order to use these dates, you need to notify the Owner of School, Lia Ozolins Baker, via email, lozolins2@aol.com. In this email, please state the days you are wishing to use as “vacation time” (vacation time also encompasses sick time, holiday time…). You will receive a confirmation email from Lia with the amount of tuition that is due for the time period in which you are requesting vacation time.

NOTICE ***If you are a family that starts after October 1st, 2019, you will receive a prorated amount of vacation days which can be used from the time your child starts until May 22, 2020.

School Closings in Regards to Tuition Payment

Each FULL TIME family is expected to pay tuition for the full month, even if the school is closed for holidays.

Each PART TIME family is not expected to pay tuition on the days the school is closed for holidays.
